Position Overview

The Golf Course Host ensures each guest has an excellent experience by providing superior service from arrival to departure. The Host reports to the Head Golf Professional and works closely with all club staff to create an unrivaled guest experience.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting golfers upon arrival and providing a warm, professional welcome.
  • Escort golfers throughout the property, including to the golf shop, while providing directions, answering questions, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
  • Share relevant course information, including course conditions and other details to enhance the golfing experience.
  • Monitor, manage, and record pace of play to support efficient course operations.
  • Coordinate with Golf Shop staff to ensure guest compliance with club rules, including dress code and beverage policies.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of the game of golf
  • Ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions independently

In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:

  • 2+ years of previous experience in the golf industry
  • 2+ years of previous experience in a customer service or customer-facing role
  • Passionate about the game of golf

Physical Demands

  • Ability to visually inspect golf carts, golf clubs, and outside operations area for cleanliness.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical work; may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly; performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting.
  • Ability to operate golf carts.

Work Environment

This position will be regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions in performing the duties of the job.
