At Hans Kissle, we strive to deliver the simple goodness of home in every bite. Founded in 1984 as the regional commissary for a small high end grocery chain in New England Ma. Crafting fresh, upscale prepared foods and deli salads. Today we have two manufacturing facilities in Massachusetts and North Carolina. We have partnered with Grocery, Mass, Convenience and Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), foodservice, and food service department within retail partners to build out our business.

Purpose:

The Business Development Manager, QSR and Foodservice will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence for fresh prepared foods for Hans Kissle, specifically targeting Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), foodservice, and food service department within retail partners. This role requires a highly motivated, business builder with an entrepreneurial mindset that can set a strategic individual who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and develop customized sales solutions that align with customer needs and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand sales within Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), foodservice, and food service department within retail partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to increase revenue and market penetration.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and potential growth areas.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at QSR chains, foodservice, and retail partners.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product solutions.
  • Lead customer negotiations, contract discussions, and pricing strategies to ensure profitable growth.

Product & Market Expansion:

  • Collaborate with R&D and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for new product development tailored to customer demand.
  • Drive & manage the Hans Kissle Team to develop specific products for the food service segments.
  • Drive go-to-market strategies for new product launches within assigned segments.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and fulfillment.
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Finance, Quality Assurance and operations to build out profitable on-going product line for food service channel.

Performance & Metrics Tracking:

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and industry trends to optimize business strategies.
  • Develop and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of business development or sales experience in CPG, fresh prepared foods, foodservice, or QSR industries.
    • Proven track record of securing and growing accounts within QSRs, foodservice or retail.
    • Strong understanding of supply chain, product development, and food safety regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sales plans.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, sales forecasting, and CRM tools.
