Amplify is seeking an AI Transformational Leader to drive the strategic adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the organization. Reporting to the CIO, this role leads an internal AI team and partners closely with Business Systems Product Owners, functional leaders, Engineering, and Research teams to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact AI initiatives.

The primary objective of this role is to deliver measurable gains in productivity, operational efficiency, and business value by strategically adopting and deploying both off-the-shelf and custom AI solutions. This leader will champion AI literacy, establish governance frameworks, measure return on investment (ROI), and ensure initiatives align with enterprise strategy, risk standards, and long-term technology architecture.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the AI Transformational team to identify, prioritize, and implement high-impact AI initiatives that drive productivity, quality, and efficiency.

  • Serve as an internal AI champion, leading iterative discovery engagements to assess business processes and develop actionable AI solutions and recommendations.

  • Evaluate the AI vendor landscape and emerging technologies to determine feasibility and alignment with business objectives.

  • Manage a small team of AI technical business analysts, technical lead, and other support resources (e.g., consultants/contractors) to ensure department and enterprise objectives are successfully met.

  • Establish and manage an enterprise AI intake and prioritization framework aligned with broader technology initiatives.

  • Lead the decision-making process to prioritize major AI initiatives and ensure transparency with senior business and technology leaders.

  • Collaborate with Business Systems Product Owners and other business leaders to align quarterly roadmaps with AI initiatives, identifying potential overlaps, conflicts, and other constraints, and ensuring resources, schedules, and objectives are understood, risks are mitigated, and conflicts and friction are minimal between teams.

  • Establish governance frameworks addressing AI-specific risks, including data privacy, security, ethical considerations, and organizational impact.

  • Partner with Engineering and Research & Measurement teams to leverage senior AI engineers to develop possible technical solutions and approaches (e.g., buy off-the-shelf products vs. custom builds); and where applicable, partner with engineering on the design, development, and optimization of AI-based solutions.

  • Develop and execute an enterprise AI literacy strategy, equipping leaders and teams with knowledge of AI capabilities, risks, and implementation best practices.

  • Develop KPI's to measure the success of implemented solutions against the proposed returns.

  • Ensure the selected and implemented technology aligns with Amplify's technological standards and meets or exceeds architectural best practices, as well as security and privacy policies and procedures. Additionally, ensure decisions made support the current and long-term company strategy and goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information technology, or a related field

  • 10+ years of leadership experience, specifically within transformation or technology leadership roles.

  • Deep understanding of AI tools, large language models, automation platforms, and underlying technical architectures.

  • Previous experience driving AI adoption initiatives within other medium to large-scale organizations and teams

  • Demonstrated consulting experience, with the ability to lead research-driven engagements and translate findings into actionable enterprise initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with a wide audience, ranging from executive management to technical AI engineers and support analysts.

  • A strategic mindset, with strong business acumen and creative problem-solving capabilities, while also driving strategic goals into actionable work.

  • Strong background in Agile development environments, with the ability to influence multiple fluid projects and pivot based on competing priorities.

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate the impact of proposed AI projects, potential returns on investment, and assess complex risk factors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the K-12 EdTech or publishing industry.

  • Familiarity with enterprise business systems (CRM, CPQ, ERP, HRIS) and opportunities for AI-driven enhancement.

  • Relevant professional certifications such as the Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Google, AWS, IBM), or other professional certifications such as PMP or CSPO.

  • Prior experience working in consulting or technology systems integration organizations.
