OVERVIEW
First Coast Security Services is hiring a full-time Account Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an assigned security contract. Based in Jacksonville, FL, this on-site role is responsible for client relationship management, staff scheduling, payroll accuracy, on-the-job training, and contract compliance. The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact between FCS and the client, and is directly accountable for the performance, conduct, and development of all personnel assigned to their account. This is a strong opportunity for a security professional with supervisory experience who is ready to step into a client-facing operations leadership role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage all day-to-day operations of an assigned security contract, including scheduling, payroll accuracy, and contract compliance reporting.
  • Serve as the primary client contact; maintain regular communication, proactively address concerns, and ensure overall client satisfaction.
  • Handle escalated security incidents and emergency situations appropriately and in accordance with post orders and FCS policy.
  • Communicate staffing needs to the assigned recruiter and Regional Director of Operations in a timely manner.
  • Develop assigned security personnel through ongoing coaching, counseling, performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle for assigned personnel, from onboarding and site-specific training through suspension and termination processes.
  • Ensure all staff have read, understand, and can locate post orders for their assigned site.
  • Coordinate and conduct on-the-job training (OJT) for site-specific requirements.
  • Hear and help resolve employee grievances in coordination with HR; maintain accurate and timely personnel file updates including change-of-status forms and employee rosters.
  • Communicate company policies, announcements, and job openings to all assigned personnel.
  • Meet all contractually scheduled hours with minimal unbilled overtime.
  • Manage uniforms, equipment, and vehicles assigned to the account.
  • Utilize WinTeam for scheduling, billing, and compliance reporting (scheduling activity, invoice aging).
  • Embed the FCS mission into site culture and model professional standards at all times.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions provided by senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in contract security, law enforcement, or the military; prior supervisory or account management experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and meet contractual obligations in a security services environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with clients, field personnel, recruiters, and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, complex situations, and a diverse workforce simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with WinTeam or similar scheduling and billing platforms is a plus.
  • Comfortable using a mobile device for field reporting and communication.
  • Experience with CCTV or surveillance systems preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent supervisory experience in a security or operations role will be considered.
