Job description

Job Summary:
The City of Dallas is committed to service, innovation, and community. They are seeking a Risk Management Information System Administrator for Aviation to oversee the administration and optimization of risk management systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance while supporting operational decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain the Aviation RMIS platform, including system configuration, user access, and module functionality.
• Monitor, validate, and audit data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Leads projects from inception to completion, communicating applicable updates and changes to necessary parties.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in alignment with City and Aviation requirements.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and analytics to support operational and executive decision-making.
• Measures the results of projects and initiatives to evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and understand the impact on the business.
• Maintains short- and long-term project roadmap and prioritizes projects according to company priorities.
• Provides data and analytics to support internal changes and decisions.
• Investigates and resolves internal issues and changes related to current industry standards.
• Extracts, analyzes, and assesses department business needs and workflows; makes consultative recommendations.
• Implement processes to achieve efficiency goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Safety, IT, Finance, etc.) to support risk-related initiatives.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or related field.
• Three (3) years of progressive experience in one or more of the following areas: Risk Management, Project Management, Audit and/or Compliance Support, Information Technology or Information Systems, Administrative or Operational Support Functions.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• CAPM Certification (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months of hire).
• Must be able to pass both City of Dallas & TSA Background Check.
• CJIS Certificate-(Must be obtained during 6-month probationary period).
• No felony or class A misdemeanor convictions.
• No class B misdemeanor convictions in the last ten (10) years.
• No family violence convictions.
• Cannot currently be on deferred adjudication for any felony, class A misdemeanor or class B misdemeanor charge.
• Availability to work varying shifts (days, evenings, nights), including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
Preferred:
• Experience in an airport or similarly regulated environment, as well as familiarity with ISO standards, documentation, and audit processes, is strongly preferred.
• Experience in an airport environment supporting audits, compliance, and IT systems.
• Experience working in a regulated or public sector environment.
• Familiarity with risk, compliance, or audit frameworks.
• Experience with service desk or ticketing systems and data tracking/reporting tools is preferred.
• Experience supporting financial or enterprise systems, as well as familiarity with compliance processes, audit tracking, or regulated environments (e.g., TSA/FAA), is also preferred.
