Job description

Job Summary: The Housekeeper at The Francis is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our luxury boutique hotel in Portland, Maine. As a member of our hospitality team, the Housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time hourly position with a competitive starting salary of $18.50 to $19.50 per hour, paid weekly. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and advancement within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel standards
- Change linens, make beds, and restock amenities in guest rooms
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in all areas of the hotel
- Empty and properly dispose of trash and recycling
- Replenish supplies such as towels, soap, and toilet paper
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management
- Assist with laundry and linen duties as needed
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests at all times


Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed, must be able to Work Sundays
