JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Senior Management Analyst Supervisor - SES position in the General Tax Administration Program's, Refunds and Revenue Accounting Process, Account Services Unit. The incumbent supervises staff responsible for making account adjustments in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX). The incumbent is responsible for developing, reviewing, and implementing procedures for SUNTAX updates conducted by Account Services, while ensuring compliance with applicable statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Additionally, the incumbent uses initiative and innovative planning to improve manual processes through automation and process enhancements to support evolving systems and technology.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • Four years of experience communicating verbally and in writing with internal and external partners for the purpose of resolving inquiries.
  • Four years of experience conducting research and analyzing information to make decisions.
  • Four years of experience reviewing or adjusting account balance in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).
  • Two years of experience supervising employees.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of business, accounting, or finance may substitute for four years of the required experience.

PREFERENCES: 

  • Experience researching, interpreting, and applying Florida tax law.        

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position will generally not exceed $6,250.00 monthly/$75,000.00 annually.
