Job description

Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
This position supports manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to maximize uptime, reliability, and safety. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, along with the ability to diagnose equipment issues and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems
* Maintain and service equipment including mixers, blenders, packaging machinery, pumps, valves, motors, and related systems
* Complete maintenance work orders and follow up on findings from preventive and predictive maintenance activities
* Install, modify, and improve equipment to support operational performance and reliability
* Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history accurately
* Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency
* Coordinate with maintenance leadership to secure necessary replacement parts and materials
* Support compliance with OSHA, environmental, and facility safety requirements
* Monitor equipment performance and contribute to maintenance KPI goals
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
* Support additional maintenance and facility needs as required
Requirements (Schedule First):
* 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
* High school diploma or GED required
* 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E standards
* Experience installing, modifying, and maintaining industrial equipment
* Ability to read and troubleshoot pneumatic systems and related schematics
* Experience working with belts, valves, motors, drives, pumps, and electrical enclosures
* Ability to read electrical and control schematics
* Familiarity with PLC hardware and ladder logic concepts
* Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts is preferred
* Basic computer proficiency and strong communication skills
* Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based maintenance environment
