Overview
Perform work involving the housekeeping of office, cafeteria and restroom areas. The Porter is a professional that ensures a positive overall impression of the property as well as providing the necessary service of ensuring clean and comfortable spaces for all employees. Therefore, it is essential that the Porter be highly thorough and professional in completing their duties.
Responsibilities
  • Routinely clean all common room areas including office, cafeteria, restrooms and lobby.
  • Remove litter, empty trash receptacles and recycling receptacles from all common areas.
  • Sweep, mop and vacuum common areas and respond to any major spills or other cleaning crisis. When applicable place safety hazard signs, wet floors, etc.
  • Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations

Qualifications
  • Highschool/GED
  • Previous housekeeping experience
  • Inventory experience

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, push, pull, lift and squat as needed to perform assigned tasks
  • No more than 50lbs of lifting/pushing/pulling

Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary for this role is $18 per hour.
This is a union position and is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Benefits such as medical coverage, retirement plan, and paid time off are provided in accordance with the terms outlined in the agreement.
