Red Coats, Inc., one of the largest cleaning companies, is hiring personnel for the HOLLYWOOD area.  The company is looking for a cleaner day Porter to work in an office building for maintenance work.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Full-Time Maintenance Porter involve the upkeep of each suite and common areas in order to enhance and maintain its appeal. The Porter will also assist the rest of the staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the property in an efficient manner.

Typically, the porter job responsibilities focus on these three areas: cleaning, maintenance and painting but their responsibilities are supplemented by general maintenance duties as directed by their supervisor or the Property Management Team.

Porter physically walks the property on a frequent basis to detail the property and ensure cleanliness.

  • Assist with general and preventative maintenance tasks as requested by supervisor or the property management team.
  • Perform or assist with performing a variety of painting tasks.
  • Inspect hallways and common places, eliminate obstacles to free passage and assure that there is adequate lighting including but not limited to replacing light bulbs.
  • Clean the building to include sweeping, dusting, mopping, emptying trash containers, vacuuming, and related tasks to keep space clean and neat.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance including repairs throughout the building.
  • Assist in regular inspection of suites to determine maintenance needs including changing of ceiling tiles.
  • Assist with routine plumbing work such as unstopping commodes.
  • Assist in preparing suites for occupancy by removing trash and other items, and cleaning in accordance with established procedures or as requested by supervisor or the Property Management Team.
  • Regularly conduct inventory of equipment, tools, parts, and supply of material.
  • Receive and review written materials such as work orders.
  • Maintain the grounds and common areas clear of trash and debris.
Qualifications

Must be able to SPEAK AND READ ENGLISH.

Minimum 2 years of experience in general maintenance. Knowledge of general building maintenance. Strong verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the products and equipment used in cleaning and general maintenance of buildings. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, tenants, contractors, and the general public. Must be able to take direction. Must eligible to work in the United States. Must be able to PASS A BACKGROUND SCREENING. Must be over 18 years of age. Must have a reliable form of transportation.
