Job description

Maintenance Manager

At Pilgrim's,Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager for our Frozen Pet Food side to direct and coordinate, through subordinate supervisors, the activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, as well as the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems in an industrial plant environment. This role ensures continuous operations, optimal equipment performance, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, engineering, quality) to resolve issues and improve equipment and process efficiency.
  • Oversee maintenance of facilities, production equipment, and utility systems to support continuous and safe operations.
  • Supervise, train, and develop maintenance teams while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedures.
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance activities-including repairs, installations, and equipment modifications-to minimize downtime and support production goals.
  • Manage departmental budgets and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and ensure operational excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

Education: Engineering degree, technical associate degree, or completion of a vocational/technical certification in a related field or 5 years of maintenance management experience in leu of degree;

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of directly related maintenance leadership experience;

Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, utilities systems/production equipment, experience leading teams and driving performance in a manufacturing or industrial environment, ability to manage budgets, analyze data, and implement process improvements, strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
