The Role - Apprentice Electrician

The Apprentice Electrician works under licensed electricians in a structured training program to develop the skills needed for journeyman licensure. This role involves assisting with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems while progressively taking on more responsibility. Apprentices build technical knowledge, follow strict safety standards, and gain hands-on experience to prepare for independent work in the electrical trade.



What You'll Do

  • Assist in the installation of all electrical equipment and material per the specific project's requirements, under the direction of the Project Foreman.
  • Perform manual tasks with accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform duties with spirit and good speed.
  • Have a positive attitude and be enthusiastic about work.
  • Work well with others and exhibit the desire to please customers and supervisors.
  • Be responsible for cleaning the work area when tasks are complete.
  • Uphold Suburban's reputation by looking professional in personal appearance.
  • Always adhere to all safety policies and practices. You'll wear steel-toed shoes, helmet, gloves, and safety glasses on all job sites.

What You Bring (Required Experience)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You must be currently enrolled in Wisconsin's ABC Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
  • This position may require team members to drive a company vehicle. If so, team members must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record that allows the company to insure such individuals under the company's insurance policies.Team members must also carry auto liability insurance.Team members will be subject to the company's policy concerning company vehicles.
