Job Summary:

The Mailroom Specialist is responsible for various duties assigned to handling/scanning/sorting and processing outbound mail and packages. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to established quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities for the Mailroom Specialist includes but not limited to:
  • Opening, prepping and scanning mail.

  • Prepping incoming electronic mail (E-Prep/FTP).

  • Processing of Outbound Mail by means of various postal equipment including mail inserters, postage meters, and computer.

  • Handling outgoing overnight packages.

  • Other mail room tasks as assigned.

  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience working in a mailroom enviornment is preferred not required.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Flexible to handle different assignment.

  • Ability to learn multiple policies and procedures.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working at a fast pace.

  • Good organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and guidelines.

  • Physical stamina to stand or sit for extended periods.

  • Flexibility to work overtime if necessary.
