Location: Halls, TN
Pay Rate: $20-30 per hour, based on experience, skill level, shift, and production assignment
Shifts Available: 1st, 2nd, 3rd (Overtime and weekends may be required)

Position Summary

Machine Operators are responsible for assisting with operating, monitoring, and maintaining a range of production equipment used in aluminum extrusion, anodizing, fabrication, saw/cutting, packing, and related manufacturing processes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring quality products, safe production, and efficient manufacturing operations.


Typical Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and support production machines including extrusion presses, anodizing lines, fabrication equipment, CNC machines, saws, and punch presses.
  • Load, unload, move, stage, and inspect aluminum parts or finished products.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, production schedules, and safety rules.
  • Assist with machine setup, changeovers, tooling, dies, fixtures, racks, or materials as trained.
  • Inspect parts for defects, inaccurate dimensions, finish issues, or quality concerns using basic measuring tools.
  • Record production information, scrap, downtime, and quality checks as needed.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized, reporting any equipment or quality issues promptly.
  • Work as part of a team to meet production goals and quality standards.
  • Communicate issues clearly with supervisors, maintenance, and quality departments.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; GED preferred
  • Manufacturing, production, machine operation, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred—but entry-level candidates with strong attendance and willingness to learn are welcome!
  • Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift during the shift
  • Basic math, reading, and measurement skills
  • Willingness to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe shoes, etc.)
  • Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as needed
  • Forklift experience a plus

Preferred Experience

Candidates with backgrounds in:

  • Aluminum extrusion
  • Metal fabrication
  • Anodizing/metal finishing
  • CNC machine operation
  • Saw or punch press operation
  • Automotive/industrial production
  • Quality inspection
  • Warehouse/material handling

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Able to lift, push, and move materials as required
  • Work around production machines, noise, heat, chemicals, and metal materials
  • Wear required PPE at all times
  • Safe, team-focused manufacturing environment
