Job description

Overview
Entry-level and experienced openings for Machine Mechanics on all shifts! If you are someone who liked shop class in school - let's talk. Or, if you have ever worked with assembly, air cylinders, air operated, or hydraulic equipment - this could be a good fit for you too. Worked in auto repair or restoration? Those skills are transferable. And, military veterans have successfully transitioned to work with us as well.
Whether you are new to the industry or have experience, we have a Qualification Program that gives our employees the opportunity to learn new skills, be promoted, and earn higher pay. With experience, the starting rate is $27.21 per hour. If you work on the 2nd shift - add $1.00 per hour and on the 3rd Shift - add $1.80 per hour.
Opening on 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm) and 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 7am)
Bonus Opportunities Available!
  • Quarterly Attendance Bonus - Associates have the potential to earn up to $600 quarterly; just for showing up to work their scheduled hours!
  • Production Bonus - Associates have the potential to earn up to a 10% monthly bonus on their gross monthly income based on the plant hitting production goals; potentially $336 per month (the equivalent of $2.10 per hour)!

About the work:
Machine Mechanics help us to meet production goals and quality standards. Acting as first-level support for Operators, they troubleshoot equipment issues. They make adjustments, perform repairs, and support mold changeovers (perhaps 1-2 times per week). Machine Mechanics stand for their entire shift, sometimes bending, stooping, and crawling under molds, and use hand tools such as wrenches to perform duties.
About the Hours:
First shift hours: 7am to 3pm (Monday - Friday)
Second shift hours: 3 pm to 11 pm (Monday - Friday)
Third shift hours: 11 pm - 7 am (Sunday - Thursday)

Responsibilities
  • Perform mold changes, start ups and changes to the molding processes
  • Troubleshoot robots and other miscellaneous assembly equipment
  • Tag areas of the machines and molds that require repairs
  • Ensure work is performed in a neat and professional manner.
  • Provide day-to-day communication with superintendent and/or mechanics supervisor.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Participate in daily OPM activities as required
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to apply common sense to a situation at all times.
  • Must have a good work ethic.
  • Willingness to work as a team.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic injection molding practices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental electrical principles such as repairing/replacing sensors preferred
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and hoists - we train, prior experience is not required.
