Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a MAC System Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team at Adelphi, MD.

  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Top Secret Clearance
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The MAC System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining macOS systems, managing updates, enforcing security policies, and ensuring operational compliance in accordance with DoD and ARL IT policies. Job Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, manage, and support macOS systems and software installations.
  • Enforce endpoint management policies, including configuration profiles, security baselines, and device encryption.
  • Perform macOS patching, system updates, and automation using Bash or AppleScript.
  • Manage user authentication and access controls in coordination with directory services.
  • Monitor performance and ensure security hardening using DoD-mandated configurations.
  • Coordinate data backups and recovery processes using approved solutions.
  • Conduct compliance audits and maintain an accurate inventory of Apple hardware/software.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for macOS best practices, collaborating with other platform admins.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Top Secret Clearance.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Technology with two (2+) additional years of experience OR five (5+) years of relevant experience working in an IT or Service Desk environment.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • MacOS (Apple Certified Support Professional) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing structures and new requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. 

Preferred:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
  • Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Salary Range: $57,000 - $96,000

Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate, including but not limited to contract wage determinations, relevant work experience, role-specific skills and competencies, geographic location, educational background, certifications, and federal government contract labor categories.
