Location: 500 Totten Pond Rd Fl 4, Waltham, Massachusetts, 02451, United States
Hybrid (2-3) days a week onsite
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire
Required Tech/Experience (Manager won't consider candidates without the following):
  1. Experience/capability with IT systems administration duties in a Microsoft environment
  2. § Experience/capability as an applications analyst (or similar)
  3. § Support and understand compliance commitments including SOX
  4. § Ability to troubleshoot IT issues affecting day-to-day business activities
  5. Execute runbooks on infrastructure
  6. Analysis and capability to grow
  7. Windows based-knowledge important
  8. § Ability to take ownership of managing, troubleshooting, and investigating software applications
  9. § Analysis, beta-test, deployment, and troubleshooting of IT systems and applications
  10. § Experience with hands-on troubleshooting of VMWare, vSphere, Microsoft Windows, Linux Ubuntu, Mac-iOS devices
  11. § Familiarity with cloud and on-prem storage systems and solutions

Client is seeking an Application & Systems Administrator responsible for deploying, managing, and maintaining Clients cloud and on-premises applications and systems. This role will join the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Technology team at their corporate office in Waltham, MA.
Client is a fast-growing company, and our IT team must be able to deliver secure solutions that will enhance our company's growth while not disrupting innovation.
What are the requirements for the position?
§ Experience/capability with IT systems administration duties in a Microsoft environment
§ Experience/capability as an applications analyst (or similar)
§ Support and understand compliance commitments including SOX
§ Ability to troubleshoot IT issues affecting day-to-day business activities
§ Ability to take ownership of managing, troubleshooting, and investigating software applications
§ Analysis, beta-test, deployment, and troubleshooting of IT systems and applications
§ Experience with hands-on troubleshooting of
o VMWare vSphere
o Microsoft Windows
o Linux Ubuntu
o Mac-iOS devices
§ Familiarity with cloud and on-prem storage systems and solutions
What are my initial tasks and goals?
§ Familiarize yourself with the IT team's procedures and the applications they currently support
§ Identify improvements to our existing company approved applications and how they are used
§ Build relationships with our users to best identify where our supported application may be falling short, recommend potential enhancements, and improve the effective use of existing applications
§ Learn the compliance commitments and procedures required to support compliance
§ Document procedures and teach the Client employees and staff on how to properly utilize our applications for best practices and higher efficiency
§ Become a trusted subject matter expert on IT solutions and systems
§ Implement and improve processes that prevent data loss and risk
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments or skills will you be performing regularly?
§ The applications and systems administrator's primary focus will be on maintaining our corporate applications and administration of a Microsoft network
§ Support of currently used software:
o Atlassian Suite of Products,
o Maintain the credential management and API's of our ERM
o Finance and Accounting Applications
o Microsoft Suite of Cloud Solutions
o Work with vendors such to improve our use of their solutions
§ Assist the Infrastructure Technology team to maintain and monitor both our On-Prem and Cloud systems that support Client business operations
§ Work closely with peers within IT to provide Tier II system support
§ As a strong infrastructure technology candidate, you will have a solid technical foundation to be able to:
Ø Implement and improve processes that reduce security risk across the organization
Ø Assess the technology needs throughout the company and recommend solutions to support business needs
Ø Configure, operate, and maintain our technology and support solutions
Ø Implement, manage security patching and secure corporate IT infrastructure, company systems, office equipment, and server resources
Ø Support Client employees in their enterprise technology requirements

§ Provide excellent customer-orientated services to internal entities of Client
§ Identify, assess, and support current and emerging technology needs for Client

Where is the role located?
§ With a company HQ in Waltham, MA, this role can successfully be located within the general area for someone with the ability to spend 12-16 days a month at the HQ location. The person in this role will need the ability to make trips to the Waltham office for scheduled and unscheduled support needs.
