Torch Technologies Inc., is seeking a motivated Cyber Security System Administrator that can work with a diverse team to monitor, update, and support THAAD Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), Digital and simulation labs. Seeking a candidate with a strong background in Linux and security. Knowledge with a configuration management focus is a plus. Must be able to work in a team environment. This lab supports an independent test platforms for the THAAD weapons system.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
  • Guide systems through the entire Assessment and Authorization (A&A) lifecycle to achieve andmaintainan Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Maintain compliance with RMF/MDA modernization.
  • Configure and maintain systems for Continuous Monitoring. Develop and execute a robust continuous monitoring strategy to ensure the systemremainscompliant and secure.
  • Lead all technical security activitiesrequiredto prepare the system for its formal security assessment and authorization.
  • Author, compile, andmaintainthe complete RMF security documentation package.
  • Engineer, automate, implement, andvalidatethe technical security controls
  • Manage the system's security posture by conducting vulnerability scans with tools like ACAS, analyzing results, and leading remediation efforts with the system administration team.
  • Assess and document risks to IT systems by conducting risk assessments.
  • Refine Change Management (CM) and Assess & Authorization (A&A) procedures.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, POA&M and risk mitigation tasks.
  • Provide Cyber Security Subject Matter Expertise to customers and end-users.

Job Requirements:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-9 years of experience related Linux systems administration experience.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills both oral and written; exhibit the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, customer focused work environment.
  • Familiarity with System Administration tasks, such as OS installation and configuration, network configuration, and system diagnostics.
  • Must have experience with Tenable Security Center (ACAS), Trellix/McAfee software, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune, Splunk and Q-Audit software.
  • Must have knowledge of the eMass system.
  • Must be familiar with populating DISA STIG checklists.
  • Must be familiar with DISA STIG tools and documents.
  • Must be familiar with Evaluate-STIG software for vulnerability scanning.
  • Must be proficient in SEIM tools.
  • Strong technical understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking concepts, and virtualization.
  • Experience leading a DoW system through the full RMF lifecycle.
  • Must be proficient with IAVM processes.
  • Previous networks experience.
  • Linux+ and Security+ certifications.
  • Strong Cybersecurity knowledge.
  • Must have an active secret security clearance.
