Job Description

Summary of Position:

Provide administrative and clinical support in a remote setting for a community and/or office-based clinic. Duties can include answering the phones, checking voicemail and fax lines to assist with triaging refills and side effects, and completing prior authorizations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Completes prior authorizations for medications.
  • Enters written documentation into electronic medical record in a timely manner for all services rendered.
  • Completes activities necessary to ensure efficient operations of clinic or program, including but not limited to, helping to obtain medications, reviewing and providing medical records to providers, and completing related documentation and authorizations. Completes monthly logs, checks and sends client's lab work to providers, schedule lunches and breakfasts for Med Reps.
  • Maintains linkage with community partners to provide necessary linkages.
  • Works with Centerstone staff to ensure continuity of care for clients.
  • Triage medication and care related calls from clients, families, stakeholders, etc. and coordinates necessary physician involvement.
  • Complete all required agency trainings required for remote employees to maintain 100% compliance.
  • Maintains departmental productivity expectations.
  • Additional training and/or certification may be required based on specific program guidelines.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Use of office equipment such as computers, fax machine and copier.
  • Great customer service skills and phone etiquette.
  • Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop supportive relationships with persons with mental health and substance use disorders while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries.
  • Competency with electronic medical records, computer systems, and documentation. Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with team members and maintain professionalism.
  • Accountable and self-directed with daily job duties.
  • Enthusiastic about influencing positive change in our clients' lives.
Qualifications

Education Level:

High school diploma or GED required.

Years of Experience:

Minimum of one-year experience in a health care environment preferred. Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use concerns preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

Medical Assistant Certification through a national credentialing body required.
