Lutron has an immediate opening for a Senior Sales Representative - Luxury Residential to support our New York markets. A successful team member will drive the sales of Lutron's luxury residential solutions in a B2B environment by creating demand with residential architects, interior designers, custom builders, and developers and nurturing those opportunities with our dealer channel partners. We positively influence decision makers in the luxury residential construction business to view Lutron as their first and full choice for intelligent lighting and control solutions.

The sales territory for this role includes New York City, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties), Northern New Jersey, and the greater New York Metro Area.
Responsibilities
  • Drive Lutron residential system sales growth to meet yearly targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residential architects, interior designers, lighting designers, builders, and developers.
  • Influence system specifications early in the design phase, positioning appropriate Lutron residential solutions.
  • Manage active residential projects from conceptual design through construction documentation, ensuring Lutron is clearly specified and well positioned for award.
  • Identify new firms, builders, and influencers within targeted residential segments including luxury single-family homes, multi-residential developments, and specialty properties.
  • Partner closely with Lutron Sales Representatives and authorized residential dealers to ensure a smooth transition from specification to installation.
  • Support dealers and sales partners during bidding, value engineering discussions, and client presentations as needed.
  • Deliver residential-focused product presentations, lunch-and-learns, and design education sessions for specification firms.
  • Represent Lutron at residential industry events, design showcases, showhouses, and trade programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; if you have less than 5 years of sales experience, a Bachelor's degree and minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80 is required
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience that includes proven ability to manage customer accounts, sales leads, and activities using Salesforce.com (or similar) required
  • Experience training and/or public speaking preferred
  • Willingness to travel 25% - 50%
  • This is a home-based position requiring travel throughout the New York City, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties), Northern New Jersey, and the greater New York Metro Area. Candidates must reside in the greater New York Metro Area and be able to travel regularly within the assigned territories.

Starting pay: $105,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year; Lutron's employee benefits include 401k match, health, dental, and life insurance, paid vacation (amount based on tenure with the company), flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement programs.
