Job description

Job Summary:

SPC Extrusion Utility/LTO’s primary responsibility is keeping the stacker clean and pallets cleared from the back of the extrusion lines. They are also responsible for the accuracy of the stack count and backing up the extrusion operator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Remove waste from the rear of the stacker.
  • Be sure the count of material on the pallets is accurate
  • Remove and replace pallets at the end of the stacker.
  • Enter production.
  • Assist in startup and shutdown.
  • Back up the extrusion operator.
  • Assist in general clean-up and maintenance.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Lifting is required of tools and parts with varying weights of 1 to 100 pounds.
  • Standing and climbing on and off the lift truck is required.
  • Bending is required to pick up parts and tools or do work multiple times a day.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • LTO-certified experience preferred
  • High school graduate or GED preferred
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, or sit for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift and maneuver objects of 50+ pounds

Other Requirements:

  • Overtime is required on occasion.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
