Terminal Manager
The Law Family Companies is a 6th generation family-owned and operated business dedicated to providing logistics solutions in the Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont areas since 1882. We are comprised of seven companies ranging from transportation and warehousing, moving and storage, and real estate services. The family and leadership team are committed to assuring experience, stability, consistency, and creative leadership throughout our companies.
BSP Trans, Inc. has been providing the Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont areas with outstanding LTL transportation services since 1970. At BSP, our team consists of a six-terminal network across our coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers.

Annual Salary - $95-$105K
What You Will Do
As a Terminal Manager, you will lead by example, demonstrating the values, professionalism, and performance standards expected of all BSP employees. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring exceptional service to our customers, all while maintaining a safety-first culture.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing leadership and direction to all operational personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
  • Coordinating all operational activities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations for on-time service.
  • Managing the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process to attract and retain highly qualified employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Developing and facilitating employee training and development programs that enhance performance, productivity, and service quality.
  • Reviewing and analyzing operational, financial, and expenditure reports to identify opportunities for increased profitability and process improvement.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and long-term business growth.
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment by ensuring compliance with all company, OSHA, DOT, and applicable government safety regulations.
  • Driving operational excellence through effective planning, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or management experience, preferably within the LTL transportation industry.
  • Strong decision-making skills with a customer-focused mindset and a proven ability to deliver results.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, prioritization, and leadership abilities.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will also have:
  • Seven (7) or more years of operations leadership experience.
  • Previous experience in Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of transportation industry regulations, company policies, operational procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • A proven track record of developing teams, improving operational performance, and achieving business objectives.
