Job description

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center at Shreveport seeks fellowship-trained Urologic Oncologist to join our established academic urology practice in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Completion of ACGME-accredited Urology Residency, Urologic Oncology Fellowship required, two-year SUO fellowship preferred, but not required. Must be BE/BC in Urology and eligible for LA Medical license.
This opportunity combines the academic resources, residents, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration of LSU Health Shreveport with the efficiency, patient volume, compensation, and infrastructure of a highly developed private-practice model focused on Urologic Oncology.
Highlights of the Position:
  • $600,000 starting compensation with reasonable incentives that allow $800k+ in first year for Board-Eligible/Certified Urologists.
  • Significant RVU-based production incentives
  • Robust existing patient volume and established referral network.
  • Ability to develop a predominantly urologic oncology-focused practice
  • Multiple block days available for open and robotic cases
  • Advanced da Vinci Xi robotic platforms
  • 1:7 physician call and likely to improve
  • Residents take first call
  • APP + resident inpatient support
  • Limited travel radius
  • All physician call compensated

  • Multiple Procedure rooms in between Clinic as ASC with 3 full ORs
  • Urodynamics
  • Dedicated ultrasound technologists
  • MRI-fusion biopsy capabilities with US Tech assistance
  • Hematology-Oncology in house
  • Radiation Oncology in house
  • On site 3T MRI
  • On site: Infusion services, IV systemic therapies, Intravesical therapies
