As an LPC at Goodwell Counseling Services, you will engage in a variety of counseling activities that include but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to create individualized therapy plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy.
• Documenting clinical notes accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care and create a supportive network around patients.
• Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops, to stay current on mental health research and best practices.

Our diverse clientele includes individuals facing a broad spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and family dynamics. You will work closely with patients who may have limited access to traditional mental health resources, providing them with compassionate support and effective therapy strategies to improve their quality of life.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling context, with a strong understanding of ethical and legal standards relevant to mental health practices.

• Family therapy
• Couples therapy
• Substance use treatment
• Trauma-informed care

Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) software and other related technologies is also preferred to facilitate efficient service delivery.
