Job description

Responsibilities
Branches Salem welcomes the opportunity for an Intake Therapist to join our team.
The Intake Therapist performs initial screenings or assessments to evaluate potential patients for appropriateness for the PHP or IOP level of care. They complete treatment plans for all patients admitting into the outpatient program. Patients must be evaluated for risk factors, substance use issues, etc.
Branches Salem is the newest outpatient treatment center through Cedar Hills Hospital. Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and outpatient services program that serves adults facing an acute behavioral health crisis related to issues of mental health, substance abuse and substance use disorder, as well as co-occurring disorders related to these circumstances. Our programs aim to provide lasting mental health rehabilitation through programs that re-establish a high quality of life.
Qualifications
Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related degree
Experience: Preferred: one (1) of three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. New Master's graduates encouraged to apply!
Licensure: Must be state certified in social work or clinical related mental health field. LPC-Associate, LPC, LMSW, Temporary CSWA license or LCSW license required or working to obtain licensure, preferred but not required.
