Work Environment

As a remote position, the Licensed Professional Counselor will have the flexibility to operate from their own home while being an integral part of a supportive and dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to coordinate comprehensive mental health treatment plans both within our organization and with external providers.
  • Provide mental health in-service training sessions to our medical, psychiatric, and security staff, ensuring they are equipped to recognize and respond to mental health needs.
  • Respond to and de-escalate mental health emergencies, taking prompt action to safeguard the well-being of all patients and staff.
  • Attend commitment hearings when necessary, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards in patient care.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient or client, setting achievable goals for their therapeutic journey.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions and treatment progress, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
  • Gather past mental health history to inform current treatment approaches, including an assessment of any psychotropic medications previously utilized.
  • Prepare both regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reports that track patient progress and treatment efficacy.
  • Engage in collaborations with nursing and mental health staff to coordinate follow-up care and referrals post-release, aiding in patient transitions back into the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPC will work closely with a diverse patient population that encompasses various emotional, psychological, and behavioral concerns. Our patients may include individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance misuse, among other challenges.
