Sky Technologies, Inc is a highly innovative Information Technology and Low Voltage Solutions provider. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to fill our Low Voltage Project Manager/Estimator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The right person for this position will estimate and manage low voltage and structured cabling projects; they will attend pre-construction conferences. The candidate is directly responsible for submitting quotes on Private, City and Commercial projects. The qualified individual is responsible for working with local utility companies, electrical contractors, and general contractors. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

  • Ability to walk on uneven ground, climb, reach, grasp, manipulate objects, perform keyboard and data input, use a telephone and /or communication equipment, perform light lifting, kneel, squat, and sit for extended periods of time.

  • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam

Job Duties:

  • Estimating for structured wiring such as Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cabling, access control system, wireless system, PA system and CCTV system.

  • Project manage low voltage and structured cabling projects including allocating proper resources to ensure project budgets are maintained

  • Inspect project sites being bid and produce bid documents.

  • Create relationship with general contractors, sub-contractors, and project managers.

  • Work with material/equipment distributors to get material cost.

  • Ability to manage in-state/out of state projects and staff

  • Analysis of publications and perform Internet research on upcoming projects.

  • Attend required bid meetings.

  • Inspect project sites being bid and produce bid documents.

  • Assist with the preparation of subcontracts and purchase orders.

  • Work with subcontractors, ensuring all required material certifications and payrolls are being timely submitted.

  • Review AIA billing and sub-estimates.

  • Monitor field operations.

  • Analysis of publications and perform Internet research on upcoming projects to bid in various states.

  • Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all project-related information.

  • Perform other related duties as required, directed, or as the situation dictates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Prefer five (5) years minimum Estimating/Project Management experience.

  • Must have commercial/electrical/low voltage experience.

  • Ability to read and do takeoffs/counts from construction plans.

  • Read and understand specs from construction documents.

  • Require direct experience low voltage/structured wiring.

  • Microsoft Excel (advanced experience).

  • Microsoft Project (some experience preferred but not required).

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Prefer five (5) years minimum Estimating/Project Management experience.

  • Commercial/industrial/electrical/low voltage experience.

  • Require direct experience low voltage/structured wiring.
