What is a loss prevention intern?

Loss Prevention Interns are entry-level professionals who work within retail or corporate environments to support efforts in reducing theft, fraud, and other forms of loss. They assist experienced loss prevention staff by monitoring security systems, conducting audits, and helping implement safety policies. Interns gain hands-on experience in surveillance, investigation, and reporting, while learning about the legal and ethical aspects of asset protection. This role is valuable for those interested in pursuing careers in security, law enforcement, or risk management.

What does a loss prevention intern do?

As a Loss Prevention Intern, you can expect to participate in a variety of hands-on projects such as conducting store audits, assisting with inventory counts, monitoring surveillance footage, and supporting investigations into theft or policy violations.
