Friendly Chevrolet is one of the largest Chevrolet dealerships in Minnesota, and we are continuing to grow. We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and experienced Automotive Service Technician / Auto Mechanic to join our high-performing service department.

    Automotive Technician Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance according to repair orders and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems including:
    • Engine
    • Transmission
    • Suspension
    • Steering
    • Electrical systems
    • Brake systems
    • Air conditioning and HVAC
  • Perform automotive diagnostics using diagnostic tools and service equipment
  • Test-drive vehicles and inspect components to identify issues
  • Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
  • Communicate repair recommendations and additional service needs with Service Advisors
  • Maintain efficiency, accuracy, and quality workmanship
  • Follow dealership safety procedures and shop standards
    Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Technician, Auto Mechanic, Service Technician, or Line Technician preferred
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Strong automotive diagnostic and repair background
  • Experience with Chevrolet, GM, or dealership service environments is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of motivation, accountability, and work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
  • Must be willing to complete pre-employment background check and drug screening
