Job description

Position Title: Logistics Manager
Position Location: Uxbridge, MA
Position Type: Onsite, Monday - Friday

Position Snapshot: The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and executing Lenze Americas' logistics operations including receiving, warehousing, internal material flow, and shipping. This key leadership role blends hands-on execution with strategic process ownership to build and scale a high-performing logistics function that supports manufacturing excellence and future growth. The Logistics Manager serves as the SAP process owner, champion of Lean initiatives, and drives continuous, data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
About you : You're a hands-on, outgoing logistics leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing. You're results-focused, bringing an approachable style and data-driven mindset (SAP preferred) to solve problems, improve processes, and drive efficiency and accuracy. You're Lean-focused and get excited when you streamline workflows and eliminate waste. You understand the value in building accountable, high-performing teams through clear expectations, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration
A day in the life:
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop logistics team members, including supervisors and frontline staff
  • Drive performance through clear expectations, KPIs, and daily management

Logistics Operations & Material Flow
  • Own daily execution of:

- Receiving and inbound material flow (inspection, put-away, system receipt)
- Internal material movement and line-side delivery to production
- Warehouse management (storage, inventory control, replenishment
- Shipping operations (domestic and international, including Canada/Mexico growth)
  • Ensure reliable material availability to support uninterrupted production
  • Optimize end-to-end material flow from inbound through production to outbound delivery
  • Balance service, cost, and efficiency, including labor productivity and freight

Continuous Improvement & Performance
  • Own and track key metrics (inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, throughput, downtime)
  • Lead root cause problem solving and drive sustainable corrective actions
  • Champion Lean initiatives (5S, standard work, flow improvements, waste reduction)
  • Deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, flow, and inventory performance

Systems & Process Ownership (SAP)
  • Serve as SAP process owner for logistics and ensure transactional accuracy
  • Standardize processes through SOPs, training, and best practices
  • Partner with IT and global teams on system improvements

Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS standards
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, equipment reliability, and audit readiness
  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve quality and process issues

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as key interface between Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Customer Service
  • Align logistics execution with production schedules and customer demand
  • Drive cross-functional problem resolution to remove constraints impacting material flow and delivery

Requirements
What you need:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations (manufacturing environment strongly preferred)
  • 4+ years' experience in supervising & leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field highly preferred
  • Proven success implementing Lean logistics systems (Kanban, pull systems, line-side delivery, supermarkets)
  • Demonstrated systems thinking and process design capability
  • Strong ERP experience required; SAP ownership experience highly preferred
  • Experience optimizing material flow, layouts, and warehouse processes
  • Track record of driving KPI improvements using data and structured problem solving
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping processes (Canada/Mexico preferred)
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to drive accountability and change
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive performance improvements
  • Proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and present effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with a strong interest in leveraging AI and digital tools to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Solid understanding of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements within logistics and warehouse operations
