Are you a logistics professional who enjoys solving complex routing challenges and improving operational efficiency? We're looking for an experienced Distribution Router to develop and optimize daily delivery routes that ensure exceptional customer service while maximizing transportation efficiency.

What You'll Do
As a Distribution Router, you'll be responsible for planning and optimizing daily delivery routes across the state using advanced routing technology. You'll work closely with Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, and Cross-Dock teams to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain daily delivery routes using Omnitracs route planning software.
  • Develop efficient delivery routes for all service areas across the state.
  • Analyze historical routing and delivery data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Lead routing optimization initiatives to improve on-time delivery performance and customer service.
  • Maintain routing software by updating customer locations and delivery information.
  • Coordinate routes based on customer delivery windows, geographic considerations, available resources, and DOT regulations.
  • Partner with Warehouse Operations, Cross-Dock leadership, Transportation, and Customer Service teams to resolve delivery or shipping issues.
  • Review route performance and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
  • Support daily logistics operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or route planning.
  • Experience working in a logistics or routing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of state geography and transportation networks.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience using Omnitracs or similar routing and transportation management software.
  • Strong understanding of mapping applications, GPS systems, and logistics technology.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations affecting delivery operations.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, squatting, and stooping.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds when needed.
  • May occasionally work at heights of 8 feet or greater.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak business periods, including October through December.
