Job description

The Material Planning Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations associated with plant production control activities including: Parts Follow-Up, Plant Scheduling, Engineering Change Management, Inventory Records, Shipping/Receiving and Tool Stores Management. This role directly supports daily production, this individual acts as the centralized resource for Plant Production and Quality Operations, Material Logistics Management (MLM) Operations, Corporate Logistics, Corporate Scheduling, Supplier Delivery Risk Management (SDRM) and Engineering. The Material Planning Manager is also responsible for directly managing a cross-functional team of salaried bargaining and non-bargaining employees, accountable for employee hiring, training, performance and retention. The Material Planning Manager participates in and promotes lean Stellantis Industrial System activities.
  • Responsible for Manpower Management including Salary Employee Hiring, Training, Performance, SIS Involvement and Retention
  • Responsible for leading Inventory Management activities including Physical Inventory Audits, Excess and Obsolete Material Mitigation Activities and Parts Record Integrity
  • Responsible for Managing and Mitigating Financial Transactions associated to Production Control Operations
  • Participates in Stellantis Industrial System and Lean Management activities for the Logistics Customer Service (LCS) Pillar including use of WCM tools and methodologies and the completion of kaizen projects
  • Leads Safety, Quality and Cost initiatives set forth by the Plant and Corporate
  • Interacts with all levels of the organization including bargaining and non-bargaining hourly and salary employees as well as executive leadership

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on production control, supply chain or material handling
  • Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application
  • Ability to direct the workforce and deliver results on Key Performance Indicators
  • Experience in resolving conflicts with professionalism and integrity
  • Ability to adapt and manage change to support business needs
  • Strong understanding of the systems and procedures related to production control, supply chain or material handling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in related field
  • Stellantis Industrial System Logistics Pillar knowledge
  • Experience Working in a Unionized Environment
