Job description

Inventory & Operations Assistant

Position Overview

  • Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 / year (Commensurate with experience; higher compensation is absolutely on the table for an exceptional candidate)
  • Location: Elkridge, MD (In-Office/Warehouse)
  • Employment Type: Full-Time


Key Responsibilities

As our Inventory & Operations Assistant, you will bridge the gap between our production team, logistics partners, and vendors to ensure seamless daily operations. Your core duties will include:

  • Inventory Management: Maintain, update, and audit inventory tracking spreadsheets and records; investigate and resolve material discrepancies.
  • Logistics & Shipping: Coordinate with the Production team to organize projects scheduled for shipment; prepare and manage daily pickup schedules and logistics.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors regarding purchase orders, material sourcing, order status updates, and general inquiries.
  • Quality Control & Receiving: Verify incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accuracy, and collect/organize all receiving documentation.
  • Operational Support: Maintain accurate records of projects leaving the warehouse and support leadership with administrative and operational tasks as needed.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor and internal team collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Highly resourceful with the ability to troubleshoot inventory/logistics issues independently.
  • Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience: Prior experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, purchasing, supply chain, or administrative support is a strong plus (but not required).
