Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an EA POD Logistics Manager to join our team

located at Eglin AFB, FL. This is a full-time, onsite role. Our program team consists of dedicated, mission-focused professionals who bring technical expertise, operational insight, and a commitment to excellence in support of this critical national defense capability. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Master’s Degree and 10 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s with 15 years of experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
  • Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered highly skilled in their technical/professional field.
  • Possesses a minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on professional experience in avionics maintenance, EW systems testing, or RF engineering support.
  • Possesses the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman contractor personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
  • Possesses proven track record of independently operating precision general test equipment.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience managing maintenance of electronic attack pods, DD1149 shipping protocols, and CSE scheduling.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Have an understanding of current DoD and AF-specific acquisition logistics philosophy, policies and procedures to USAF systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
  • Have experience utilizing data analysis systems, such as MATLAB.
  • Prior operational experience on a secure DoD flightline, including safe vehicle and heavy equipment (MJ-4) operation around aircraft.
  • Self-starter: ability to receive broad guidance and objectives and independently decompose them into detailed, actionable tasks; ability to adjust in a fluid environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and team building skills with demonstrated ability to build consensus in a government/contractor team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The EA POD Logistics Manager shall be able to advise, perform and or lead logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, evaluating, and executing the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. The individual shall be capable of supporting and executing the following requirements:

  • Support the coordination of logistics elements (including but not limited to spares, SE, training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning) to ensure all integrated logistics support requirements for the program are identified and tailored to the unit’s needs.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration of external pods with combat aircraft avionics systems.
  • Apply logistics knowledge to perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy.
  • Assist with technical analyses, planning and execution and assist the Government in review of technical specifications and documentation in support of reliability, maintainability, quality, supportability, and interoperability efforts to facilitate and update sustainment issues identified as related to the integrated support plan.
  • Provides technical support, conducts data analysis and applies knowledge of engineering technology under the direction of engineering staff.
  • Operate high‑precision General Test Equipment, including:
    • Signal Generators
    • Spectrum Analyzers
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Power Meters
  • Validate pod performance and diagnose complex electronic component issues.
  • Process and manage maintenance of pods, coordinate daily shop schedules, and track asset status utilizing the Central Scheduling Enterprise (CSE).
  • Coordinate equipment shipments and documentation using the DD1149 Website.
