Job description

ASRC Federal NetCentric LLC is hiring a Logistics Manager at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Typical Government customers include: Base Supply, Property Administrator, and Contracting Officer.

Government property management aspects include asset management, acquisitions, receiving, identification, records, movement, storage, physical inventories, reports, consumption, utilization, maintenance, scrap and disposition functions.
Implement policies and procedures to enable compliance with Cape Launch Operations Infrastructure Support (CLOIS) Procurement and Logistics requirements, as well as company requirements. Duties include compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and company guidelines for government property and materials management, purchasing of materials/services, shipping and receiving activities, vehicle fleet and chain of custody requirements.

The Logistics Manager will have direct supervision of Procurement, Logistics and Fleet activities.  Conduct property inventories, support Property Management Assessment Audits (PMSA) with the government property administrator, perform onsite
assessments and walk throughs of facilities to ensure compliance, manage shipping and receiving activities, monitor equipment for life cycle, calibration facilitation, and assist in chain of custody controls. Manage property data, to include inventory reports, maintain Maximo databases for purchasing and asset management, investigate and report lost property information, property stewardship, control, and utilization/consumption of Government and Contractor owned property, to include life cycle management. Also, ensures the adequacy of property accountability records and determine useful life and disposition to facilitate coordination of disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment.

Administer the training of site personnel on property responsibilities and requirements. Supervise property self-assessment audits, perform physical inventories, metrics reports, follow up with functional departments on corrective actions, provide guidance on government regulations pertaining to property accountability, recommend and implement property administration policy, and prepare periodic and special purpose reports.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Business Administration or related field. Defense Acquisition University training desirable. National Property Management Association (NPMA) certification or equivalent desirable. Equivalent education/experience is applicable. 
  • Five years minimum experience working in government property management, including supervision of personnel.
  • Experience with union affiliated personnel preferred. Experience with Department of Defense Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Plant Clearance Automated Reutilization Screening System (PCARSS)
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 45, 52.245-1 requirements and implementation of requirements.
  • Fleet Management and/or Vehicle Control Officer experience is a plus. Proficiency in Maximo and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. US Citizenship is required for obtaining a security clearance. 
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work with others to achieve common goals and comfortable in a matrix type organization.
