The Logistics Manager leads all warehouse and logistics operations, with direct oversight of Shipping and Receiving teams. This role focuses on optimizing material flow, ensuring inventory accuracy, and driving operational efficiency across the supply chain in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate brings strong leadership experience, deep knowledge of logistics and inventory control, and a proven track record of improving processes and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Warehouse Supervisor and Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee end-to-end warehousing and logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material flow.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across logistics activities.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and other applicable regulatory and company requirements.
  • Optimize logistics strategies, including carrier selection, freight cost management, and shipping methods for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and planning teams to align logistics activities with production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and internal company policies throughout warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, and overall performance of logistics operations, ensuring resources meet operational needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, including inventory control and accuracy, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
  • Utilize ERP and WMS systems to monitor, analyze, and improve logistics and warehouse performance.
  • Coordinate shipping activities primarily with FedEx, as well as UPS and DHL, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Support the review of design drawings and technical documents as needed to align logistics activities with product and production requirements.
  • Work effectively within a mid-size manufacturing environment, supporting the needs of a facility building electromechanical devices.
Essential Skills
  • 5–8+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management.
  • 3+ years of management experience leading logistics, warehouse, or related teams.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a mid-size company building electromechanical devices.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, and distribution practices.
  • Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), with specific experience using IQMS required.
  • Demonstrated experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, inventory control, inventory management, and production support.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage supervisors and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven analytical and strategic planning skills to optimize logistics operations and reduce costs.
  • Manufacturing experience is required.
  • Experience coordinating shipments with carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
  • Knowledge of international shipping processes and requirements (highly preferred).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in a mid-size manufacturing company with at least 50 employees.
  • Experience managing at least five inspectors or quality control technicians is a plus.
  • Experience managing quality engineers and other professionals is an advantage.
  • Comfort reviewing design drawings and technical documents and discussing technical issues with engineers and leadership.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with procurement, production, planning, and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
