Logistics Supervisor – Sofo Foods

Sofo Foods is all about providing great-tasting food to the foodservice industry and being the company that has the best team members around. 

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to manage our fleet operations by supervising drivers, dispatching, routing, and planning to ensure safe, timely, and accurate delivery to customers. 

You will be responsible for handling reverse logistics, tracking the fleet’s financial and delivery performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations as well as internal safety protocols. This role is a key stakeholder in representing Sofo Foods with the third-party provider.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and drive a motivated workforce to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Maintain, promote, and reinforce safety programs and security awareness.
  • Work with internal stakeholders as it relates to the logistics operations and ensure prompt and timely resolution of any issues.
  • Responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating deliveries, backhauls, and for-hire cartage.
  • Manage the dispatch process based on the required deliveries/shipment schedule.
  • Manage and ensure department compliance with FMCSA, OSHA, and other government regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in training team members on processes and equipment.

Your Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a multi-shift distribution center
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a logistics supervisor or a similar leadership position.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations and inventory management.
  • Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Transactions, ERP Systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Experience with Finances related to Warehouse Operations.
  • Experience in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). 
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification (forklift) experience with stand-up, rider-reach, and rider trucks.
