Director of Operations & Logistics Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and optimize logistics, inventory, and operational processes to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance across all regions.
  • Oversee international logistics flows โ€” including U.S.โ€“Mexico cross-border trade and ocean freight into LATAM โ€” ensuring adherence to cold chain protocols and global regulations.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, digitalization) to drive efficiency, scalability, and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Technology to integrate data, systems, and KPIs that connect operational performance to financial results.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate with carriers, brokers, and cold storage partners to optimize cost-to-serve and service quality.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, leading multicultural teams across borders.
  • Drive automation and ERP/TMS adoption to enable real-time visibility and decision-making.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics leadership, ideally within multinational or large-scale environments.
  • Proven track record managing ocean freight and cross-border logistics across the Americas.
  • Strong experience in imports/exports, especially between the U.S., Mexico, and LATAM.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma) and digital transformation.
  • Background in the Food & Beverage industry and experience handling refrigerated or frozen products.
  • Bilingual Englishโ€“Spanish (Portuguese a plus).
