Job Description
Essential Job Functions
  • Audit and analyze intermodal equipment charges using SQL and advanced Excel to assess accuracy, determine validity, and support charge approval or dispute decisions.

  • Apply analytical judgment to evaluate complex billing data related to chassis usage, crossovers, and maintenance and repair expenses, identifying discrepancies and cost drivers.

  • Perform recurring and ad hoc cost analyses to identify trends, financial risks, and opportunities to improve cost efficiency across intermodal assets.

  • Prepare and deliver monthly analytical and financial reports for Finance, including outstanding invoices, disputed charges, and billable activity, ensuring data accuracy and interpretive insight.

  • Analyze network-wide equipment utilization to identify underutilized or excess assets and develop data-supported recommendations for asset planning and optimization.

  • Support and execute disposition strategies for underutilized power units and containers in alignment with financial, operational, and asset management objectives.

  • Lead analytical support for intermodal equipment initiatives, including container onboarding and container/chassis lease activities, serving as a cross-functional liaison with internal teams and external partners.

  • Apply sound business judgment to resolve complex, non-routine equipment and billing issues, balancing contractual terms, financial impact, and operational considerations.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of asset management data, reporting, and analytical processes; perform additional analytical assignments consistent with the analyst job level.

  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, supply chain, or a related field.

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, asset management, or a comparable analytical environment preferred.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and apply judgment to non-routine issues.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and experience working with large data sets

  • SQL experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Salary: $60,000/year base salary + Bonus Eligibility
