Position Summary

Chartis Federal is seeking a Logistics & Asset Technician to support warehouse operations, inventory accountability, shipping/receiving, and communications asset management for our customer.


This hands-on role is critical to ensuring mission-essential communications equipment and materials are accurately tracked, properly stored, staged, and operationally available to support frontline law enforcement and homeland security operations.


This position is contingent upon award.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, unpack, organize, and process incoming communications equipment, materials, and returned field assets
  • Record shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions in MAXIMO or comparable inventory management systems
  • Pull, pack, verify, and route outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy of materials and shipment contents
  • Conduct recurring inventories, spot checks, discrepancy investigations, and inventory reconciliation activities
  • Maintain accurate asset accountability records for serialized communications equipment and associated materials
  • Support warehouse organization, stock control, and operational readiness activities
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and material handling equipment, in accordance with safety requirements
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive checks on warehouse equipment as required
  • Assist with equipment staging, movement, deployment preparation, and asset movement coordination
  • Support ad hoc logistics, warehouse, and asset management requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workspace
  • Follow established inventory control, shipping, receiving, and asset accountability procedures
  • Handle mission-critical communications equipment and materials with care and accuracy
  • Support compliance with federal security, facility access, and operational procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or asset management experience
  • Experience maintaining inventory records and performing inventory reconciliation activities
  • Experience using inventory control, warehouse management, or asset tracking systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer proficiency for inventory systems, shipping documentation, and operational recordkeeping
  • Ability to safely handle sensitive technical equipment and materials
  • Ability to follow established operational procedures and work instructions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required warehouse equipment operating certification if assigned equipment operation duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MAXIMO or comparable government inventory management systems
  • Federal logistics, warehouse, or asset management support experience
  • Experience handling communications, IT, or technical equipment
  • Forklift certification or industrial equipment operating experience
  • DHS / CBP experience
  • Experience supporting mission-critical operational environments

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Full-time onsite position in Orlando, FL
  • Hands-on warehouse and operational support environment
  • Must be able to lift, move, and handle equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment if assigned
  • Must successfully complete a CBP Background Investigation
  • Must comply with all federal security, facility access, and operational requirements
