Job description

Log Yard Technician

Clendenin Lumber Co., located in Donalds SC is a leading manufacturer of hardwood lumber. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our growing team as a Log Yard Technician. The position's primary responsibilities include operating a front-end loader and knuckle boom to unload and load trucks as well as grading/scaling logs per company guidelines.

Log Yard Technician Requirements (including but not limited to):

  • Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Chainsaw operation.
  • Scaling, trimming and preparing logs.
  • Operating handheld data recording device.
  • Strong communication skills and familiarity with working in a team-based environment.

Log Yard Technician Experience:

  • Prefer a candidate with previous experience as an equipment operator either in a log yard environment or at a logging operation
  • Must be self motivated and organized
  • Willingness to work in hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
  • Must maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license
