Responsible for overseeing and managing programs and projects related to training across the Learning Solution Lifecycle (LSL). Partners with L&D Business/Function, HRGO, Centers of Expertise, and/or other internal and external partners and stakeholders to create strategic and operational planning of training and related programs. Identifies requirements of training products and/or services, and manages the operational structure necessary to meet learning and development objectives. Plans and develops training programs and/or related operational systems and processes to meet target audience needs, and to ensure the quality of design and development of training and operations on behalf of the company. Develops and maintains client, partner, and stakeholder relationships through partnering, coaching, and facilitating to identify, prioritize, and implement development solutions, operational systems, and processes.

Responsibilities:

Certification Exam Strategy & Competency Framework

  • Lead development of exam competency models and certification blueprints aligned with HPE portfolio strategies and job roles.

  • Define exam structures that accurately measure technical capabilities across Hybrid Cloud, Compute, Aruba, and Juniper portfolios.

  • Partner with business units and certification teams to ensure exams align with Partner Ready Vantage requirements and partner capability frameworks.

Exam Design & Item Development Governance

  • Lead the exam design process, ensuring adherence to industry best practices for certification development.

  • Govern SME item writing programs, including recruitment, training, and management of subject matter experts contributing exam content.

  • Oversee item quality, relevance, and alignment with certification blueprints.

Psychometric Analysis & Exam Quality Assurance

  • Lead statistical item analysis and exam performance reviews using psychometric methodologies.

  • Evaluate exam reliability, item effectiveness, and pass score validity.

  • Work with psychometric experts and certification vendors to maintain high-quality, defensible certification exams.

Exam Security & Vendor Coordination

  • Ensure strong exam security standards, including monitoring exam integrity and addressing potential exam security risks.

  • Manage relationships with certification vendors, exam delivery providers, and testing platforms.

  • Coordinate operational support to ensure reliable exam delivery across global testing environments.

Exam Localization & Global Accessibility

  • Manage exam translation and localization programs to support global certification candidates.

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of translated exams while maintaining exam integrity and fairness.

Certification Delivery & Event Execution

  • Support high-volume certification delivery at global events, including Tech Jam, HPE Discover, and partner conferences.

  • Coordinate exam readiness, operational logistics, and vendor support for large-scale certification testing centers.

  • Ensure certification operations can scale to support thousands of exam deliveries annually

Education and Experience Required:

  • First-level university degree; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years experience in certification program management, technical training, or learning assessment development.

  • 6+ years managing certification exam development or assessment programs.

  • Experience managing complex global programs and cross-functional teams.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong expertise in certification exam design, competency modeling, and blueprint development.

  • Familiarity with psychometric analysis and exam quality assurance methodologies.

  • Experience working with certification vendors and testing delivery platforms (e.g., Pearson VUE).

  • Strong understanding of technical certification programs and partner enablement ecosystems.

  • Excellent project management and program governance skills.

  • Ability to work with globally distributed subject matter experts and virtual teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
