Job Description: The Meta Reality Labs Research Team brings together a world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers to create the future of AR and VR, which together will become as universal and essential as smartphones and personal computers are today. The Surreal research group at Meta Research is seeking exceptional Technical Program Managers to solve the next generation of research challenges on the path to building future machine perception enabled technologies. This role focuses on formulating a new generation of end-to-end real-time 3D scene understanding systems working across novel mobile sensor design, sensor fusion, state estimation, computer vision, large-scale reconstruction and localization, as well as large-scale online inference and optimization.
You will define program requirements, deliverables, schedule and track progress, coordinate collaborations with other internal teams as well as manage partner and vendor relationships. To be successful, you will be eliminating barriers to your team's success, clearly communicating results to all stakeholders and ensuring the big picture stays in focus while digging into the details on specific issues. Ideal team members are adaptable and resilient, eager to attack unfamiliar problems with curiosity and tenacity, and able to use a light touch to find ways to help the team be more efficient.
Program compliance:
Gain deep understanding of program level requirements on HW/SW timeline, SW branch management, task management.
Help collect, synthesize, and communicate program level operational requirements between XFN and IQ teams, and ensure IQ delivery follows program requirements in terms of schedule and process.
Drive PXFN (privacy) review process to ensure policy compliance and expedient approval.
Represent the IQ team for status updates in program level reviews(e.g. TPM alignment, bug review, shiproom review).
