Role Summary:The Commercial Loan Processing Manager is responsible for providing support, direction, and loan policies and procedures to ensure the overall quality of the Bank's commercial loans. This position directly manages the business loan processers and their day-to-day functions, to ensure lending practices are sound and in compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.  Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Promotes an atmosphere which fosters our Vision, Virtues and Mission to the employees, customers, and community.Enthusiastically supports the bank sales function by providing exceptional service to internal and external customers of the bank.Manages, evaluates, and recognizes the performance of their direct reports. Coaches and develops staff. Outlines departmental goals and ensures the Commercial Processing department are meeting set standards. Communicates policies and procedures regularly with employees to keep them informed of changes and developments with regulation changes. Holds regular meetings with staff.Ensures that all commercial loans are processed accurately and in compliance, including documentation, underwriting support, closing coordination, booking, and system upload.Monitors loan documentation standards and will notify business bankers of exceptions. Maintains files and follows-up with loan officers on receipt of documentation requested from customers.Ensures bank lending records are properly maintained, archived, imaged, and stored in a secure area of the bank.Effectively manages the commercial loan application and closing pipeline to ensure loans are completed efficiently and within established service standards.Acts as a backup for Commercial Loan Processors as needed, supporting document preparation, closing coordination, funding, and post-closing follow-up.Coordinates pre-close and post-close reviews of commercial loan files, tracks deficiencies, and provides training or feedback based on results.Assists in coordinating and managing the audit and annual compliance review of the loan area as requested by the third party loan audit, FDIC and state examiners.Prepares exception report for the Board of Directors for policy exception tracking. Provides appropriate information for board loan committee meetings and any necessary supporting documentation.Engages with 3rd parties to appropriately complete quality control reviews, providing feedback to processing team on the results. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Assists other employees with questions and concerns relating to internal bank operations.Updates knowledge and develops professionally on a continuing basis. Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required.Works with the Compliance department to research and resolve compliance issues associated with Business Lending.Performs other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.Fully complies with all applicable enterprise policies and procedures. Acts in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as outlined in training materials, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act. Responsible for reporting suspicious activity to the AML/CFT team. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, business management, or equivalent required.At least five years of previous banking experience required.Previous management experience desired.Knowledge of commercial lending processes, loan documentation, collateral requirements, and regulatory compliance expectations to ensure accurate procedures are in place.The ability to plan and prioritize work; possess strong leadership skills and exercise good judgment in all areas of responsibility is required. Working Conditions:Work is performed in a pleasant office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Frequent mental concentration is necessary for listening and responding to various situations. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds unassisted. Some twisting, bending, and turning is required. Work hours are generally during normal business hours and average 40 hours a week.
