Description

The position of Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for loan processing activities and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external contacts to ensure successful loan processing for our clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process monetary loan transaction requests, daily loan payments, and loan payoffs from general ledgers and checks.
  • Research and resolve loan related issues which may include missing payments, disputed accounts history requests and general loan related questions.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, insurance companies, and third-party vendors.
  • Manage payment of real estate taxes for escrow accounts as they become due and maintain all corresponding escrow addendums on the loan accounting system.
  • Works with insurance policies and related reports; contacting agents and working closely with loan officers and customers to ensure proper insurance is received and maintained.
  • Create daily and monthly loan reports to applicable branches or departments.
  • Process interest payments from the Bank’s interest reserve.
  • Maintain awareness of legal requirements and best practices, adhering to policies and procedures to mitigate risk.


Education and Experience

  • College degree preferred; related work experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a loan servicing environment handling real estate taxes and insurance issues.
  • ​Experience in loan servicing or escrow administration in a banking environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: including use of professional and clear verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Advanced planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementation skills with little or no supervision

  • Ability to sit and stand to extended lengths of time
  • Ability to travel to branches, off-site training, and/or meetings as required
