Short Description
Performs daily shipping, receiving and supply functions.
Safely transports supplies between the Warehouse and the Hospital using hospital-owned vehicles.
Communicates with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Accurately pick supply requisitions and properly label and stage for delivery.
Maintain e organization and cleanliness of loading dock, shipping & receiving areas, hallways, and other work areas.
Receives daily periodic inventory shipments from Distributor and local warehouse and stages for delivery to point-of-use areas.
Receives and unpacks special orders and deliveries received from couriers, parcel carriers, distributors, and other external agencies.
Responsible for ensuring safe practices are maintained at all times on the Loading Dock and Shipping & Receiving areas.
Responsible for the timely and efficient movement of supplies and equipment received on the Loading
Dock to their destination in order to avoid clutter, Life Safety Code violations, and unsafe conditions.
Assist customers with shipping and labeling procedures for outgoing packages from the Loading Dock.
Assist vendors and drivers at the Loading Dock with directions and proper receiving procedures as per department and hospital policies.
Utilize Lawson Mobile Supply Chain and other technology for receiving, inventory control, and replenishment of stock inventory to various locations.
Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Experience Required
1-2 years Shipping/Receiving experience preferred.
1-2 years Hospital supply distribution preferred.
Truck driving experience preferred.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
License/Certification Requirements
Valid Driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
