Description
Position Vision: As a Loading Dock Specialist, you will be instrumental in the efficient operation of the Red Dot loading dock. Reporting to the Loading Dock Lead, Logistic Coordinators and Director of Logistics, you will work within a team to ensure the loading and unloading of steel building components, following safety protocols, and optimizing workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Loading and Unloading Operations:
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with drivers for outgoing shipments.
  • Utilize equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard mules to move freight safely and efficiently.
  • Responsible for tracking daily operation, basic care of handheld devices including Tablets, RFID Scanners, 2-way radios, ensuring accurate data entry with seamless team communication, plus any additional duties assigned to the daily job tasks list.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Assist with conducting regular safety inspections of equipment and loading dock areas, addressing any hazards or concerns promptly.

Quality Control:
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues, documenting findings as needed.
  • Ensure that goods are handled and stored appropriately to prevent damage or loss.

Communication and Coordination:
  • Maintain open lines of communication with Logistic Coordinators, the Director of Logistics, and other relevant departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
  • Relay instructions, updates, and directives to dock workers effectively, ensuring clarity and understanding.

Requirements
Qualifications:
