Department: Production / Logistics

Reports To: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Location: Foretravel Motorcoach Nacogdoches, TX

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Loading Dock Worker supports Foretravel's production flow by safely handling all inbound and outbound materials, components, and finished goods. This role ensures accurate receiving, organized staging, timely deliveries to departments, and secure loading of outbound shipments. The position requires strong attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and consistent communication with Production, Purchasing, and Inventory Control.

Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inbound Materials
  • Unload incoming freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage, accuracy, and completeness before acceptance.
  • Verify packing slips, purchase orders, and quantities; report discrepancies promptly.
  • Tag, label, and stage materials for inventory processing or direct delivery to departments.
Shipping & Outbound Logistics
  • Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and securing materials for transport.
  • Load trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring weight distribution and load stability.
  • Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to meet shipping schedules.
Loading Dock Operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard free dock area.
  • Follow all Foretravel safety procedures, including PPE use, equipment checks, and traffic flow rules.
  • Support hoist, forklift, and material movement operations in accordance with established safety zones and protocols.
Inventory & Documentation
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and material tracking.
  • Complete receiving logs, shipping documents, and internal transfer forms accurately.
  • Communicate shortages, delays, or material issues to supervisors and relevant departments.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or loading dock operations.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification through Foretravel.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills for logging receipts and shipments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
