Job Description
The Loading Dock Supervisor oversees daily shipping dock operations at our aluminum extrusion plant, ensuring efficient and accurate loading, unloading, and dispatching while maintaining safety and optimizing workflow.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Supervise Shipping Operations: Oversee the loading and unloading of aluminum extrusion products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of dock workers, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect shipments for quality and accuracy, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, and inventory logs.
  • Communication: Coordinate with internal departments and external carriers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
