Dock Worker

Seastreak provides fast passenger ferry services in the New York metropolitan area and Massachusetts, connecting New Bedford to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.

Job Summary:

Seastreak is now hiring dock workers for our New Bedford, MA location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assisting passengers with luggage, bikes, etc.
  • Scanning customer tickets for boarding, and directing passengers onto the Seastreak vessel
  • Loading and unloading freight shipments
  • Assisting Seastreak customer service representatives in the office
  • Being able to answer customer questions
  • Delivering supplies to vessel personnel

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must have TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card or the ability to obtain one. (Will be reimbursed by Seastreak)
  • Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug test and enroll in Seastreak's random drug testing program required by the United States Coast Guard
  • Can provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism to all passengers
  • Willingness to familiarize oneself with Seastreak's current offerings and schedules to best assist customers
