Job Description - Concrete Project Manager


BlackRock seeking an experienced and highly skilled Concrete Project Manager to manager concrete construction projects from start to finish. This is a key leadership role requiring deep expertise in concrete construction, pouring, and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire life cycle of concrete projects, ensuring quality control, managing budgets, coordinating teams, and meeting project deadlines.

The ideal candidate will leverage your specialized skills and In-depth knowledge of concrete types, pouring methods, mix designs, site management, and safety standards to deliver exceptional results while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and client satisfaction and showcase your expertise in managing large-scale concrete projects, from site preparation to curing and finishing.

  • Base salary: $105,000K-$125,000K, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of concrete construction projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure concrete design and construction meet project specifications.
  • Manage concrete pouring operations, including ensuring mix design specifications are followed and adjusting as needed for site conditions.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
  • Supervise, and lead field crews, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards and to foster a collaborative environment among all stakeholders.
  • Monitor the quality of concrete pours, inspecting work for compliance with quality standards, specifications, including proper curing, leveling, and finishing and safety regulations. concrete work
  • Oversee the coordination of material deliveries and manage logistics related to concrete pouring, ensuring minimal delay.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, providing regular updates on project status and any potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any challenges related to concrete pouring, site preparation, or project logistics. Address and resolve complex challenges related to project delays, and logistical issues.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding concrete work and safety standards.
  • Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and final billing documentation.
  • Ability to mentor and manage teams


Education, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in concrete construction, with at least 5 years in a project management role overseeing concrete pouring and construction.
  • Strong understanding of concrete technology, including concrete mix design, curing methods, and advanced pouring techniques.
  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to deliver quality through attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and still be proactive and resourceful
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to obtain information or solve problems in support of company goals
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment and to adapt to changes in the needs of the company to ensure competitive advantage
